I was talking to a Nos the other day and the conversation got around to the subject of Golconda: how to get there, what it is, and what happens after. He had some interesting thoughts:

"Well I've heard lots of opinions of what Golconda is.... "Some say you lose all traces of the beast, and vanish, and are never heard of again. Some say you become mortal again. Thus meaning you must be destroyed, since you would become a threat to the Masquerade: a mortal knowing of our existence. Others reckon you gain more control of your vampiric powers, but what this exactly means they're never sure of. "From what I can gather, I think the only people who know what Golconda does/holds are those that have actually obtained it. And they are not saying much about it. "If you ask me, Golconda is just some big con, that someone decided to create as a joke (most likely some Malkavian), just to see how many people fall for it. And thus once the person who is trying to obtain Golconda finds out it is just a joke, they become so ashamed they just crawl away...... "Anyhow, it all seems too much like hard work to me." |
