UK Lazertag

At long last the UK Lazertag community have got themselves organised into a proper association now - the UKLTA. To avoid duplication of effort and information I'll be retiring this page sometime in the next few months. In the meantime, please check out the new website at :-

There are a number of clubs around the UK who play non-arena Lasertag : freeform in open woodland or semi-urban with some loose scripting, usually in a science fiction setting. Many of these games are run as open events where all are welcome.

Our biggest event each year is Dropzone - a hobby-wide event of 8 showcase games held over the Whitsun (late May) Bank Holiday each year.

Lazertag Kit
Over the years, the original Worlds of Wonder 'tag kit has been harder to find and what we have gets less and less reliable. The guns were easy to replicate but the sensors have been much harder.
As far as I know, there are two people in the hobby in the UK who've cracked the problem of making a sensor compatible with the original WoW gear: our own Simon Russell or Dave Bodger. Dave also makes the innards for WoW compatible guns to be put in a casing of your own. They're strictly kitchen-table production but are neatly packaged and reliable.
